Getting Here - Marahau, New Zealand
Driving Directions
- To Marahau from Nelson follow State Highway 6 to Richmond.
- Turn right at the roundabout on to State Highway 60 and follow for about 36 km (30 minutes) until you reach Motueka.
This is the last point you will find an ATM (money machine) before Marahau. - Continue on State Highway 60, for 5 km (5 minutes), to Riwaka.
The last available petrol/gas stations before Marahau are here. - Approximately 2 km after Riwaka you will reach the turn-off to Marahau. It is on the right and is signed “Abel Tasman National Park via Marahau”. This turn-off is only 50 metres after the turn-off to Kaiteriteri.
You can also take the Kaiteriteri road – it loops back onto the Marahau road but will add and extra 15 minutes to your trip. - Once in Marahau, look out for the yellow Abel Tasman Centre building on the waterfront.
